The Les Enfants philosophy is that education can save the world. A quality education can cure crime, hunger, poverty and improve society for everyone. At Les Enfants we believe that the Montessori method is the strongest, most highly developed method to educate children properly.
Dr. Maria Montessori, the creator of this method, explained that children between the ages of 2 and 6 have a unique aptitude for learning, which is identified as ‘the absorbent mind’. She theorized that a child’s experience could be enriched by a classroom where they themselves could handle materials which would demonstrate basic educational information to them.
The most important period of life is not the age of university level studies, but rather the first period of life – from birth to age six. That is the time when man’s intelligence, his great implement, is being formed.
A child who has studied in a Montessori environment for a minimum of three years is by far more independent, disciplined and more prepared than those who have been placed in a traditional teaching environment. The Montessori child is more aware of their environment and more intellectual.
